ABOUT US

Graduate Student Day proposals are due today, March 11, at 5 p.m.

The Graduate School invites graduate student proposals for Graduate Student Day 2014. The annual competition and award ceremony is the university's most comprehensive showcase of graduate work. This year's competition will take place Friday, April 11, 2014.  The deadline to submit your proposal is  Tuesday, March 11 at 5 p.m.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The morning competition categories are research oral presentation, research poster presentation, creative performance and display, and the three-minute thesis/dissertation speech. See the competition guidelines here. The afternoon award ceremony features Graduate Student Day competition winners, as well the announcement of numerous other student awards. See the list of available Graduate School awards.

SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSAL

All current graduate students from all disciplines are invited to submit Graduate Student Day proposals. Space in the competition is limited, however; submitting an application does not guarantee a spot in the competition. Students wishing to compete must upload their proposals and submit an abstract of no more than 300 words to the Graduate Management System (GMS) on or before the March 11, 2014 deadline. Proposals and abstracts will be ranked by your Graduate Director.

We look forward to hearing about your research and celebrating your work!
