The UofSC Graduate School offers a variety of professional development programs and events each semester. Professional development offerings of the Graduate School are not intended to compete with those by degree programs, which are best suited to meet students’ discipline-specific needs. Our offerings are designed to complement discipline-specific offerings with high-quality, innovative professional development programming and to offer the opportunity for graduate students to prepare for a variety of meaningful career options after degree. The spring 2019 offerings include favorites as well as new offerings, which are detailed in a blog written by Dr. Heather Brandt, Associate Dean in the Graduate School and Professor of health promotion, education, and behavior. “Our goal each semester is to support our graduate student by offering professional development programs, events, and resources that will enhance their experience as graduate students at the University of South Carolina,” Dr. Brandt stated.
