Student Disability Services

University of South Carolina celebrates the diversity of its students and welcomes all qualified persons, regardless of disability. It is the policy and practice of The Graduate School to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

If you are student with a disability, it is important that you contact and register with the Office of Student Disability Services. They serve approximately 700 students and work to promote the personal and professional development of students by

  • facilitating the provision of reasonable accommodations
  • serving as consultants to students, faculty, and staff
  • educating the greater Carolina Community

At USC, a student can only be recognized as having a disability and receiving accommodations for a disability if the student is registered with the Office of Student Disability Services and reasonable accommodations have been approved. This process usually takes about 2-4 weeks.

The Office of Student Disability Services is located at 1523 Greene Street, Leconte College, Room 112A. They can be reached at 803-777-6142 or via email sasds@mailbox.sc.edu.
