Center for Teaching Excellence

The Center for Teaching Excellence is home to the required TA Training for new teaching and instructional assistants. They also fund grants, host year-round workshops, provide syllabus templates, and share resources to help with preparation, in-class teaching, and course assessment.

Office of Fellowships and Scholar Programs

The Office of Fellowships and Scholar Programs specializes in giving students advice on all aspects of the application and interview processes for national competitions. Some of the services they offer include: coordinating faculty nominations for eligible students, hosting national fellowship workshops featuring previous winners and faculty experts, and offering one-on-one advisement and providing feedback on personal statements.

Preparing Future Faculty

The Preparing Future Faculty program at USC is administered through a partnership between the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Graduate School. Designed for graduate students and post-docs who want to teach at the college level, PFF assists with key aspects of professional development, documenting an investment in teaching, research and service in preparation for faculty life.

Home to the oldest freestanding college library in the U.S., our university libraries build on that tradition with special collections ranging from early medieval manuscripts to modern literature and politics.
