  • The Career Center invites you to activate your Handshake account to search for jobs and employers; find online resources for professional development; and schedule an appointment with your Career Development Coach.

The Career Center is located on the 5th floor of Thomas Cooper Library. Contact: 803-777-7280. There is also a satellite office in the College of Engineering and Computing (Swearingen Hall).

Preparing Future Faculty

The Preparing Future Faculty program at USC is administered through a partnership between the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Graduate School. Designed for graduate students and post-docs who want to teach at the college level, PFF assists with key aspects of professional development, documenting an investment in teaching, research and service in preparation for faculty life.

On campus offices who wish to recruit graduate assistants (for NON-work study funded positions) may create an account in the Career Center’s online database, Handshake, and post these positions for students to view online. Find out more.
